LESLIE BRUNANSKI — BA, LLB, Attorney
and Barrister & Solicitor is experienced in dealing
with the collections process in British Columbia. She understands
the business priorities and goals of her clients and is adept
at providing clients with clear guidance on the British Columbia
legal environment and a creative problem solving approach, which
includes assessment and explanations of the strategic merits
of all viable options. She is committed to giving Ellis Business
Law clients a realistic evaluation of their chances of success
and following through with the effective representation they
need, be that in the courts, during negotiations, mediation
or at arbitration.
Leslie's approach to client service is
practical and efficient. Her clients know they can count on
her to provide them with regular status reports and extra services
such as searches and detailed reports. Leslie believes in giving
her clients the advantage of flexibility and is careful not
to let litigation drag on when there are other options available
that can be explored. This means her clients get ongoing strategic
advice and the opportunity to consider alternative avenues of
dispute resolution.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of General Studies from SFU and a law
degree from the University of British Columbia, Canada. Leslie's
practice experience includes administrative law, civil litigation
and criminal law. She has honed her advocacy skills at all levels
of the BC court system and developed an interest in commercial,
retail and consumer debt collections law. She joined Ellis
Business Lawyers in January 2006 with a view to adding
her skills to the collections branch of EBL, where she provides
services to domestic and international (primarily US) agencies
and law-firms whose debtors are located in BC.
Leslie has worked in a variety of legal
settings as both a litigator and a solicitor. Her experience
